Work groups: team building & conflict resolution
It's 11 o'clock on a Thursday morning when the phone rings in the office of People Going training association and organisational consultancy “Good Morning, Mr. Rocca, Head of Training for the firm Evolution speaking. I have been asked to organise a team-building for our managers and I would be interested in hearing how you at People Going would organise it – can we meet?”
“Of course! How about next Tuesday?”, replies the consultant.
The commonplace but dangerous assumption that if a group works efficaciously, it is because all its members work together in harmony, express how much they enjoy working with each other, and, especially, don't argue.
